About Wamberry
Most graduate applications now pass through an online reasoning test before a person reads the CV. Wamberry exists so that the test measures how well you reason, not whether you happened to have seen the format before.
The candidate’s side of the screen
For many early-career roles, the first decision is made by software. A timed numerical, verbal or logical test sets a cut-off, and applicants below it are rejected automatically, often without feedback and sometimes with a lock-out period before they may apply again. A capable candidate who has never met the question formats is at a real disadvantage against one who has practised them for weeks.
Wamberry was started by someone who experienced that from the wrong side: a test he had never prepared for decided the outcome before any person had looked at his application.
What can fairly be trained
Reasoning tests are scored against a key, so the skills they measure can be learned and practised: reading a data table quickly, spotting the structure of an argument, finding the rule behind a sequence of shapes. That is what Wamberry trains, across numerical, verbal, logical and abstract reasoning and situational judgement.
We deliberately do not offer personality questionnaires. They have no correct answers to learn, and we will not pretend to coach people into a profile.
How it works
Adaptive difficulty. Every question and every user carries a live rating on one shared scale, so practice stays at the level where you learn most. The mathematics is published in full.
Worked solutions for every miss. Each wrong answer comes with the underlying principle, the structure of the problem and a heuristic you can reuse on the next one of its kind.
Spaced practice. Similar question types are spread out rather than repeated back to back, and once you have answered every question in a section, the ones you missed come back for review.
Verified questions only. Every item is original and every answer key is independently checked before it goes live.
